Studies have shown that if you regularly inhale the smell of rosemary, then memory can significantly improve.

Scientists from Northumbria University conducted a series of interesting tests to analyze the ability of a person to remember information. As a result, it was possible to determine that the aroma of rosemary beneficially affects the brain, activates its activity and improves memory.

Studies have shown that if you regularly inhale the smell of rosemary, then memory can significantly improve. This applies to both adults and children. However, a series of tests still showed that the effect of spicy grass on brain activity affects a person in different ways. Among the participants in the experiment, there were those whose memory rates remained at the same level.

About 70 people took part in the experiment. They were divided into two groups. Some performed tests to test memory in a flavored room with the use of rosemary. The second - in a normal ventilated room without aromatic additives.

The test results showed that those who inhaled the smell of rosemary coped with the task twice as well as the second group. Also, after the test, they all took blood for analysis.

It was found that those who were exposed to spicy aromas in the body increased the level of 1.8 cineol - a substance that is activated in the blood during brain activity, in particular, when memorizing any information. Even in ancient Greece knew about the healing and useful abilities of rosemary. They actively used it in everyday life. Modern scientists have proved that the opinion of the ancient Greeks about rosemary is true.
