We often hear that the fish is good for the brain and improves memory. Scientists from the Center for Neuroscience of the University of Alberta finally explained how and why this happens.

The point is in the omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are rich in oily sea fish (salmon, trout, herring, etc.).. One of the components of omega-3 is docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Scientists have established: the higher its level in the hippocampus is the area of ??the brain that is responsible for memory, the more active here are the neural connections - the connections between the brain cells, the better we assimilate the information, the easier it is at the right time we can recall it.

Researchers claim that additional reserves of polyunsaturated fatty acids, in particular, omega-3, are formed precisely in the brain and have an exceptionally beneficial effect, do not affect the waist.

Several months ago in the same laboratory it was discovered that these same fatty acids prevent accumulation of toxins in the eye structures associated with age-related visual impairment. Given that the daily norm of omega-3 does not exceed 2.5 g, increase it by 30%, as the researchers suggest, it will not be difficult.
