Dozens of Russians affected by the US coalition strike against pro-government forces in Syria are being treated in hospitals of the Defense Ministry. This is reported by Bloomberg with reference to two sources that maintain contact with them.
Interlocutors of the agency told that the wounded are being treated in military hospitals in Moscow and St. Petersburg. One of them added that the number of deaths continues to grow, because some die from the injuries.
The head of the unregistered "Other Russia" party, Alexander Averin, also told Interfax that the Russians wounded by the US coalition are now in hospitals in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
On February 7, the US Coalition attacked pro-government forces in Syria. This happened after an organized detachment of 500 people attacked the positions of the "Syrian Democratic Forces" supported by the coalition.
The media reported that Russian mercenaries, who fought on the side of pro-government forces, fell under the blow of the coalition, but officially this information was not confirmed. According to various sources, as a result, between 13 and 217 Russians were killed. The Ministry of Defense announced that only Syrians were killed in the attack.
A group of independent investigators Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT) named the names of seven dead at the impact of the international coalition. All of them, according to CIT, were mercenaries of "PWC Wagner".
