Overweight is not an indicator of ill health, argue the authors of a study published in the European Heart Journal. The work is written under the guidance of Dr. Francisco Ortega. This is the result of a long (from 1979 to 2003) observations of more than 40,000 Americans.

The results are: full people who are in poor physical condition are indeed at risk of living a shorter life. However, those who, being overweight, engaged in sports, this threat was spared.

The statistics showed that the risk of death for fat people in good form was 38% lower than for fat people in poor form. But between healthy, thin and healthy, complete in this matter, there was no difference at all.

Doctors call people to think less about what the scales show, and pay more attention to physical exertion. Even if physical education does not lead to a complete loss of extra pounds, it will significantly improve the body's condition, and this, in the final analysis, is the main thing.
