Scientists have identified nine factors that can be reversed and thereby affect the increase or decrease in the risk of acquiring dementia.

Reduce the risk - physical activity, education from an early age, social activity.

Increase risk - diabetes, smoking, hearing loss, depression, high blood pressure, obesity.

There are 7 percent of cases of irreversible genetic factors affecting the risk of dementia. In the absence of such factors, scientists recommend proper activity to exclude the risk of dementia in old age.

It is never too late to reduce the risk of developing dementia at any age.

To do this, talk more, do exercise, quit smoking, develop mentally, learning new things.

Scientists are asked to show more activity in social, mental, physical, to observe the level of sugar in the blood, blood pressure, hearing, and also to control their weight. Promptly apply to a medical institution if necessary.
