Cosmos deforms the eyeballs

Cosmonauts, forced to stay in space for a long time, suffer from deformation of eyeballs, according to scientists. NASA pilots-astronauts consisting of 27 people took part in the study on arrival to Earth, as a result of which they had various visual impairments.

Eyeballs, optic nerves and pituitary have undergone deformation, the cause of which scientists so far can not explain. Changes in the work of visual organs astronauts noticed in space, when some of them deteriorated eyesight, while others on the contrary began to see better.



Scientists dare to name only one version, which is associated with increased pressure of cerebrospinal fluid of the human body in connection with weightlessness. However, while there is no evidence to support this assumption.
