Specialists from Boston found that the regular use of bran bread containing unprocessed cereals, helps reduce the dangerous indicators of hypertension. The doctors once again reminded that properly baked bread is a product that should not be feared.

Many people today refuse bread, considering it harmful to the figure of the product. However, according to scientists, there is a necessary bread - its use contributes not only to the normalization of the intestine, but also indirectly affects the normalization of pressure.

Employees of the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, USA, analyzed data from studies that lasted a total of 18 years. In total, experts have studied the health status of more than 51 thousand men aged 40 to 75 years. As a result, physicians established a regularity - in those people who regularly eat bread from unprocessed grain, less often hypertensive disease. In general, bread lovers are subject to hypertension by 19% less frequently.

Nutritionists have calculated: to reduce the potential risk of hypertension, you need to consume at least 85 grams of unprocessed grain a day. Note that whole grain bread is not the first to show medicinal properties to scientists.

Earlier, Swedish researchers said that such bread is able to reduce the secretion of insulin, protecting the body from the development of insulin resistance and associated ailments - type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. However, experts note that not all bread, which is labeled by producers as a product with bran, brings tangible health benefits. For example, bread from white wheat flour with the addition of bran can hardly be considered useful.
