Feeding the baby, it is difficult to confine milk and water. In the course of the same are a variety of juices with pulp, and sometimes even teas. But at what age and what kind of tea can I give to a child?.

What is the peculiarity of the effect of different types of tea on the baby's body? About this - further in the article.

Up to one year.

According to WHO recommendations, infants up to six months are not advised to give anything but milk. From four months (if the child is not breastfed), it is already allowed to give special teas for children, in which you will not find caffeine or tannins, which reduce appetite.

Such teas are absolutely safe for the child, have a pleasant taste and various useful properties: soothing, normalizing the work of the stomach and so on. You can buy them in specialized stores, however, first of all, please note for what age this tea is intended, and also consult your pediatrician.

Starting from six months it is recommended to give the child special herbal baby teas. Of course, the concentration should correspond to the age. The most useful for the health of the child are herbs: chamomile and fennel (they have antiseptic, antispasmodic effect, increase the activity of the food glands and normalize intestinal motility); mint and melissa (have a calming effect). Such teas are recommended to give the child up to 1 time a day at least one hour before bedtime.

Up to three years After one year, you can start to prepare vitamin and fruit teas for your child. They strengthen the immune system and the body as a whole, are sources of vitamins, improve appetite.

An excellent option are such fruits and berries: dog rose, green apple, currant, pear, raspberry, apricot, linden. Instead of fruits, you can use their leaves - they are less allergenic.

After three years.

If there is a desire to give the child "adult" teas, for example black, green or white, then it is worth doing this strictly after 3 years.

It is also important to consider that these types of tea are full of caffeine and tannins, so it is worth brewing them strictly once a day and in the mornings. If you give this tea to your child in the evening, there is a high probability that he will suffer from insomnia and nervousness.

Recommendations.

Doctors recommend starting their acquaintance with this drink after 3 years with black leaf tea without additives.

It should be slightly brewed and without sugar, but if you want to "sweeten life", you can add honey to it.

It is also possible to brew a carcade to a child who does not have pronounced toning properties, but at the same time contains a lot of vitamins.

Green tea for children is not recommended until 11-12 years, since its leaves undergo the least treatment, and therefore the concentration of tannin and caffeine in it is much higher.
