Scientists from Sweden have found a way to protect the brain from Alzheimer's disease. According to experts, this will help the Scandinavian diet, the main ingredient of which is fish.
Scientists invited to participate in the study of 2200 people. They were divided into two groups, one of whom was offered to observe the Scandinavian diet, also known as the "Viking Diet".
The second group followed its usual diet for a long time.
By results of researches it was found out, that the people adhering to the Scandinavian diet, in advanced age practically have reduced to zero probability of development of Alzheimer's disease. Dieticians note that the "Viking diet" consists of fish, rice and chicken meat. It is necessary to completely exclude potatoes and refined grain products. Alcohol is also excluded, but the use of red wine of high quality in moderation.
