The specialists conducted 192 tests on 72 new or already used glass containers, including glasses and glasses for beer and wine.
Scientists have found lead in 139 containers, and cadmium - in 134. Dangerous metals were both on the surface of the tanks and on the rims. In some cases, lead concentrations exceeded the permissible norm by 1000 times.

Researchers found lead in more than 70% of the tanks (52 of 72). The metal was contained in the colors of all colors. 51 of the 72 tanks were cadmium. Most of all it was in the red enamel. Lead levels ranged from 40 to 400,000 ppm, and cadmium ranged from 300 to 70,000 ppm. According to experts from the United States, the permissible standards are 200 ppm for lead and 800 ppm for cadmium.
