The corresponding decision to amend the city budget for 2017 was taken today, November 8, at a session of the Kharkov City Council.
Recall that the target state subsidy to provide diabetes patients with insulin and hypoglycemic drugs covered only 48% of the need.
To solve this problematic issue and provide patients with the necessary medicines, the Health Department of the city council sent a letter to the Kharkiv Regional State Administration of Health with a request to allocate additional means of medical assistance for the treatment of diabetics. In turn, the management of the HAGA sent a corresponding appeal to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
As previously reported, the deputy mayor for health and social protection of the population Svetlana Gorbunova-Ruban, Kharkiv, until the end of the year, 12 million USD of state support for the purchase of insulin is needed to provide the most needy patients.
