"Intimate gels and sprays do not carry the functions attributed to them, moreover, they are harmful" - said gynecologists.

According to statistics, gels, foam, sprays and other products for personal hygiene are used by about 70% of women aged 16 years. This high rate is easy to explain: any woman wants to be healthy and clean, and advertising promises cleanliness, freshness and normalization of microflora from the first application.

However, having tested female production, and also having compared frequency of complaints on bacterial vaginosis after application of "fragrant" hygiene, experts have made other conclusion. The vagina itself is a perfectly balanced ecosystem that contains its own useful microflora.

The chemical elements contained in the waste media roughly intervene in this process: they disrupt the normal level of acidity and destroy the protective barrier (gels with artificial lactobacilli increase acidity, aromatic sprays, on the contrary, alkaline the vagina). And this, in turn, leads to the risk of inflammatory diseases. In addition, molecules of "fragrant" means clog the vaginal pores. This provides a pleasant aroma, but a woman can miss the development of a serious disease, a characteristic symptom of which is an unpleasant odor (eg, gardnerella).

It should not be forgotten that intimate remedies are also responsible for severe allergic reactions in the labia. "The best smell for an intimate area is the absence of any smell (the exception is a slightly acidic one). And the best means of feminine hygiene is a child's soap (not more often than once a day), clean water and natural linen, which must be changed daily "- gynecologists assured. If you are faced with a problem of unpleasant odor, you should immediately consult a doctor.
