New technologies, rapidly developing recently, have provided progress in the field of prosthetics. Such a high-tech direction of dentistry is dental implantation, which allows for rational prosthetics without tooth preparation and avoidable removable prosthetics, even if they are completely lost.

Implantation is a method of implanting an artificial root (implant) in the upper or lower jaw. Implants are used as supports, on which either crowns are fixed (fully replacing lost teeth), or removable or non-removable dentures.

The implant design consists of two main parts - the implant itself, which is a titanium screw implanted into the jaw by surgery and an abutment made also of titanium, which is attached to the implant after the engraftment period.

The implantation method has a number of significant advantages over traditional methods of prosthetics and enables patients to obtain dentures indistinguishable in appearance or function from their own teeth.
