Chemists from the University of Hamilton, Canada, argue that they have identified a set of amino acids, from which, perhaps, built all forms of life in the universe.

All forms of life known on the Earth are based on 20 amino acids, which are the basis of life for both animals and plants. The same amino acids are found in meteorites that were formed before the birth of the Earth, experts explain their position.

"Now it was possible to isolate 10 amino acids which, as a result of natural processes, such as lightning strikes or ionizing radiation, could have occurred in the primary substance," argues one of the authors of the study, Paul Higgs.

As the Canadian research team noted, other amino acids could appear as a result of a process that scientists call the universal genetic evolution. Biochemists believe that they were able to isolate the life code, which consists of 10 basic amino acids and is the same at any point in the universe.
