It was noted that people with high vitamin concentrations in the blood perform better and faster neuropsychological tests on attention skills and information processing speed. Scientists have identified a strong relationship between vitamin D and cognitive ability among middle-aged people, even after taking into account the factors of physical activity, education and mental health.



Specialists were interested in the fact that vitamin D helped the brain to process information more quickly in most cases in men over 60 years old, although the biological causes of this association are still not understood. According to American doctors, to maintain normal brain function, it is not necessary to enrich the food with fish or fish oil - it is much more effective to walk more often in clear sunny weather, when the activity of ultraviolet rays reaches its peak. Presumably, the production of vitamin thanks to the sun can prevent many signs of aging of the brain.
