If parabens are used in cosmetics so widely, then why are they mainly talking about deodorants? After all, they can penetrate the skin from any cosmetic product put on hands, face, hair, and spread throughout the body.
In reality, this is what happens. But at the same time some of the parabens in the body are destroyed or converted into other substances that have a weaker estrogen-like action. But with the use of deodorants, most of the parabens are sent directly to the breast tissue. And this is due to anatomy. Firstly, the axillary region is located to the breast closest to, and secondly, between the formations there is a connection in the form of numerous lymphatic vessels.
And, finally, the possibility of parabens getting from the axillary region directly into the breast tissue is confirmed by the facts: the parabens that were in the deodorants were found in the tumors - they did not change at all. If parabens traveled through the body through the blood, then they inevitably would have some changes. Indirect confirmation of the relationship between deodorants and breast cancer is the statistics - tumors are most often located in the part of the chest that is closest to the axillary region.
In addition to cosmetics, parabens are used in the food industry.
But, it seems, there they are not so dangerous. After all, the concentration of parabens in foods should not be above 0.1%, which is 10 times less than in cosmetics. In addition, getting into the body through the digestive tract, parabens first go with the blood flow to the liver, where for the most part they are destroyed. Of course, this is also not very useful - an extra load on the liver is not needed, but not so bad.
