A study in the UK showed that women at pre-menopausal age can reduce the risk of breast cancer if they consume a lot of fiber, as reported by the Internet publication for girls and women aged 14 to 35 Pannochka. Net In a group of 35,000 women, those who ate about 30 grams of fiber had a risk of half as much as those who ate about 20 grams.

According to experts, all women should try to increase the amount of fiber they consume, this will improve many health indicators. To date, the average European consumes about 12 grams of fiber per day.

Using the example of 35,000 women aged 35 to 69, it was shown that for the prevention of breast cancer, it is sufficient to consume about one serving of cereal for breakfast and to consume at least five servings of fruits and vegetables a day.

About 16,000 of them were pre-menopausal and 18,000 were postmenopausal.

During the observation period, 257 women from the first group developed breast cancer. They all consumed a lot of meat and little fiber and vitamin C.

In the post-menopausal age group, no such effect was observed, the ill women did not differ in dietary preferences.

According to the researchers, this difference was that dietary fibers are involved in the destruction of the female hormone estrogen, and young women have a much higher level of this hormone than women in post-menopause.

These recommendations, however, coincide with the general recommendations of nutritionists to enrich their diet with dietary fiber and vitamins.
