Researchers from the United States and Europe reported that they identified two new genes that increase the risk of multiple sclerosis, according to an Internet publication for girls and women aged 14 to 35. Pannochka. Net Research in this direction is very active, since the exact cause of this degenerative disease has not yet been identified.

According to Jonathan Hines, head of the study, scientists hope with the help of new data to develop more targeted treatments for the disease.

Each of the variants found increased the risk of the disease by about 30%.

Multiple sclerosis is not inherited directly, but some hereditary regularity still exists.

Since the 1970s, only 1 gene has been found that is responsible for the inheritance of multiple sclerosis. This gene, which is called HLA, prevents the body from recognizing its own tissue.

Despite the fact that scientists did not abandon the idea of ??finding other genetic prerequisites, until now the studies ended in nothing.
