The birth rate in Denmark has greatly decreased. According to statistics in the northern kingdom in 2007 there were only 64 thousand. Newborns, which is the lowest rate since 1990, scientists say.

Medics are very worried by the trend associated with the reluctance of most Danish and European women in general, give birth at a young age.

Many of them decide to have their first child aged 29-30 years, according to researchers. A late delivery, according to experts, is often accompanied by an increased risk of an ectopic pregnancy or a chromosomal abnormality of the fetus.

Experts believe that late births are associated with the desire of Danish women to get a decent education, to make a career and realize their professional potential, and only then pay attention to the birth of a child.
