The researchers conducted a study in which 275 healthy women aged 18 to 40 years old who wanted to become pregnant. Every sixth day of the menstrual cycle, the subjects took saliva samples to analyze the level of adrenaline and the stress hormone cortisol.

It turned out that the possibility of successful conception in owners of high levels of adrenaline is 12% lower than in women with a minimum of this hormone. But the level of cortisol does not affect the possibility of conception.

Experts recommend that doctors pay attention to the adrenaline level of women who want to have a child in order to choose the most successful time for conception.
