The later you enter into the baby's milk, the higher the risk of the child's allergic reactions in the first 2 years of life, say Dutch scientists.

Everyone knows that the later introduction of milk and thick food in the baby's menu helps prevent the development of allergies in the child. But it turned out that there is practically no evidence of such an assertion to date.

Scientists conducted a study in which 2558 children participated. Moms gave the necessary information to scientists at 3, 7, 12 and 24 months after childbirth. Scientists analyzed the collected data and conducted allergic tests to all children aged 2 years.

The results of the study showed that delaying the introduction of cow's milk and dairy products into the diet before the 9-month-old child's age significantly increases the risk of developing eczema.

According to scientists, breastfeeding remains the best option for a child's health, but the issue of the later addition of other products remains controversial. However, it is too early to change the clinical recommendations, since more research is needed, scientists stressed..
