Scientists from the North-Western University have discovered a new mechanism associated with natural watches. This discovery helps to understand why some people find it so difficult to get up in the morning, writes The Times of India.

As it turned out, the lack of a certain gene, called "twenty-four", leads to rhythm disturbance in the awakening and sleep cycle in fruit flies. The gene encodes a protein called PER. And he already adjusts the circadian rhythm. Without a gene, the protein in the neurons is contained in small amounts. As a result, it's harder for witches to wake up.

Experts believe that a similar pattern can be applied to people. Natural watches tell any organism when it's time to prepare for the sunrise, explains Rabbi Allad, who directed the research.
