Scientists conducted an experiment on rodents, in which it was found that the smell of a female weakens the immune system of sexually mature male mice, but makes them more resistant to the injuries they receive in the battle for a beautiful lady.

During the experiment, the male mice were put into four individuals in cages and for a while put on the cage the sawdust from under the females. On the exciting odor of females, males responded with an enhanced synthesis of sex hormones, especially testosterone, and also stress hormones glucocorticoids.
