What cereals are not only delicious, but also treated.

Among the cereals, which have recently lost some popularity, many are very useful and can provide effective help in the treatment of various diseases. To similar porridges with the full basis it is possible to carry semolina, millet, pea and corn.

A lot of people with a shudder recall the famous manga, which for many years diligently fed children in kindergartens and pioneer camps. But often it has to return to adulthood, as with certain diseases it is simply irreplaceable.

Used semolina not only for the preparation of cereals, it is used for steaming when frying meat, fish, vegetables, add to sauces and soups, puddings, casseroles, dumplings, cookies and even cakes are made from it.

Semolina is a crushed grain of wheat grain, whose size does not exceed 0.75 mm. Due to its size, semolina is quickly brewed, which allows you to maximize the storage of useful substances in it, and many of them. The manga contains proteins, starch, vitamins E and B, a significant amount of minerals, including calcium, potassium, sodium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron. At the same time, there is very little fiber in the manga, which allows using it for dietary nutrition of people with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and even after operations on the intestines and stomach.

Manna porridge is well absorbed by the body, it is nutritious and high caloric. In this case, it has a significant feature - the mango is not digested in the stomach, but in the lower part of the intestine. Doctors believe that the manga helps purify the stomach and intestines from slags and mucus, helps to break down excess fat, inhibits oxidative stress in the intestinal tract, significantly reduces the risk of colon cancer.

At the same time it is necessary to treat the manke carefully. First, it contains gluten, to which some people have hereditary or acquired intolerance, manifested in allergic reactions, stomach upset, pain in ligaments, anemia and other symptoms. In addition, it is still questionable the ability of the phytin contained in the semolina to promote the "washing away" of calcium from bone and teeth. Therefore, recently diligently to feed children with a mango have ceased, especially small. But the fact that within reasonable limits (2-3 times a week) a manga to children is useful, most doctors do not doubt. If the child categorically refuses to eat it, do not insist, but you should give him another porridge. Unwillingness to eat a manga can be not a childish whim, but a protective reaction of the body.

A significant set of useful properties has millet porridge, which is prepared from millet - millet seed. For us, the usual millet color is yellow, but in the world it is grown gray, white and even red. In this case, the useful properties of different types of millet differ not much.

In the wheat contains a large amount of starch, a lot of protein, amino acids, up to 4% fat, a small amount of fiber and sugars. Among the grains, the millet is the most rich in vitamin A, in addition, it contains a significant amount of vitamins PP and group B. There are a lot of microelements in it, moreover, potassium, phosphorus and magnesium, which are scarce for the body, are kept in large quantities. Due to the presence of fat, millet grains may acquire a rancid flavor with prolonged storage, but its useful qualities do not decrease from this. In this case, the groats before cooking just need to be rinsed well.

According to the doctors, millet porridge normalizes blood circulation, the work of the cardiovascular system and the liver, metabolism in the body, has a beneficial effect on the skin and hair condition, strengthens bones, nails and teeth, helps overcome fatigue and depressive conditions, fight insomnia. It promotes the elimination of fats, slags, toxins and excess salts from the body, prevents the formation of cholesterol plaques in the vessels. The available fat in the croup is well absorbed by the body and is not deferred "in reserve", while it helps to absorb vitamin D and carotene, coming with other foods.

This porridge is used to feed allergy sufferers, diabetics, people with weakened health, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and pancreas, suffering from hypovitaminosis. It is nutritious, well absorbed by the body, but it helps to reduce weight.

From ancient times there was a pea porridge in honor, it was served even to the royal table. In addition to cereals with peas soups were cooked, jelly and pies made, they stuffed game, poultry and fish. This predilection for peas is quite understandable, it is easily grown in the middle strip, it is tasty, and besides it is very useful.

In peas a large percentage of proteins that are well digested by the body, carbohydrates, amino acids, antioxidants, vitamins A, C, PP, group B, a lot of trace elements, including iron, calcium, potassium, manganese, phosphorus, selenium. Pea porridge is highly nutritious and quickly creates a feeling of satiety. It helps to reduce the likelihood of developing hypertension, cardiovascular and oncological diseases, promotes the excretion of stones from the kidneys and bladder (for this use and infusion of pea leaves), has a beneficial effect on the skin condition, promotes the excretion of carcinogens and toxins from the body.

Traditional healers often use peas as an effective external remedy. Pea flour helps treat skin inflammation, boils and boils. Bandages with steamed peas reduce pain in joint diseases.

Among the cereals for a long time, the corn (mamaliga). Since the second half of the last century, its use has increased and in the whole country, although it has not gained much popularity. In this case, corn porridge has truly remarkable properties. It cleanses the body well, moreover, removes pesticides, radionuclides and fats from it, normalizes blood sugar level. At the same time it is low-calorie and easily digestible.

The protein found in corn contains important amino acids for the body (tytopathy and lysine). Corn contains vitamins C, E, PP, group B, as well as trace elements, including iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium, phosphorus. In the composition of fats present in corn, fatty unsaturated acids predominate (arachidonic, linolenic, linoleic). Much in corn carbohydrates and dietary fiber.

The use of corn porridge is indicated in diabetes mellitus, allergies, metabolic disorders, diseases of the cardiovascular and central nervous systems, liver, gallbladder and gastrointestinal tract. It is believed that the substances contained in it contribute to the prevention of cancer and cell renewal, slow the aging process.

Corn porridge, due to its low caloric content and balanced content of nutrients, is recommended for nutrition for the elderly, as well as for those who are overweight or who have a sedentary lifestyle.

In addition to these, porridge is prepared from other cereals and vegetables, which, for various reasons, are not so popular, but each is useful in its own way. Inclusion of various cereals in the diet helps a person not only get vitamins, microelements and other useful substances that are so necessary for the body, but also contributes to the prevention and, in some cases, the targeted treatment of many diseases.
