The appearance of gray hair in women is considered one of the first manifestations of aging. Before most of the people gray hair appeared not earlier than thirty years, but today silver hairs are found in women of a much younger age.

As the study showed, about a third of all british women celebrate gray hair in their thirties. 60 percent of them believe that this is due to the nervous load.

In grayed hair there is no coloring pigment. Cells that produce it (melanocytes), over time, age and cease to produce this substance. Experts say that our genetics, and not the way of life, programs at what age melanocytes stop producing pigment.

But there are also such scientists who find more and more evidence that people are now graying more often because of stress. For example, the author of the book "The Bible of Hair" Kingsley argues that the nervous load reduces the content of B vitamins, and therefore,. There is evidence that additional consumption of vitamin B helps even stop this process.

Japanese researchers say that the follicle is sensitive to this type of stress, like oxidative stress caused by tobacco, sun rays and life in a polluted atmosphere.

Despite the fact that melanocytes are in the hair and in the skin, with age, only the hair grows gray. It turns out that there is not one enzyme in the hair that is present in the skin cells. Based on this information, scientists plan to create drugs that mimic the work of this enzyme and cause melanocytes to produce more coloring pigment.
