The medical reform, initiated by the Government, the President and Parliament, aims to provide Ukrainians with quality medical services, affordable medicines, and will promote the re-equipping of medical institutions and increasing the salaries of doctors. This was said by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman, communicating with journalists during his working trip to Zaporozhye region.

"The result of the healthcare reform should be several positions: we must eventually start financing a medical service, rather than the walls of hospitals, so that the service the person receives is paid for and quality. The second position is the re-equipment of health care institutions: the creation - and we do it - of powerful cardio-perinatal centers, so that we can give a new quality of life from birth, - said the Head of Government. - Further, new effective protocols of treatment, providing free drugs to Ukrainians and increasing the salaries of doctors.

These are the basic things on which we will form the next steps ".

Vladimir Groysman recalled that one of the drafts from the package of the medreform - "On state financial guarantees for the provision of medical services and medicines" - has already been adopted in the first reading, and the Government will continue discussion of documents.

"We will find the right solutions, and then jointly with the entire medical community will implement (reform) together," - said Vladimir Groisman.
