One out of five suffer from headaches at least once a week, the researchers reported.

The study involved about 1000 adolescents aged 12 to 15 years. It turned out that 10% of the participants in the experiment had headaches more than twice a week. Children with headaches often had a lower standard of living. The study was published in the British Journal of General Practice.

The girls and boys participating in the study filled out questionnaires that indicated how often headaches and their standard of living were affected, according to the Internet publication for girls and women aged 14 to 35 Pannochka. Net Often, adults and doctors focus on diseases such as asthma and diabetes, and ignore other conditions that also interfere with normal living.

However, it was found that 20% of adolescents had headaches for approximately 12 days in a three-month period, which largely hampered them in their studies and doing household chores.

According to researchers, it is necessary to pay more attention to headaches of adolescents. The nature of the origin may be different, but it has been found out that the standard of living greatly influences the occurrence of headaches in children. Social security could be the first step in preventing such conditions among teenagers, say scientists.
