During the follow-up period of 12.5 years, 279 cases of age-related maculopathy with a significant loss of vision.
In multivariate analysis, compared to people who did not take extra vitamins, supplemented with vitamin E differed significantly by a 13% reduction in the risk of age-related maculopathy (relative risk = 0.87), taking multivitamins had a significant risk reduction of 10%, (relative risk = 0.90).
