Abusing a high-fat diet is associated with a number of dysfunctional health effects, but US scientists have determined that there is an available remedy for stopping the harmful effect. Such a remedy, they say, is cinnamon, health information reports with reference to medikforum. En.

"Cinnamon can neutralize the negative effect of eating high-fat foods, preventing the accumulation of fat around the abdomen and protecting the heart from damage," note scientists.

Researchers recommend adding cinnamon to hot drinks, cereals and other dishes in order to neutralize the harmful effect on the body from unhealthy fats present in food. The benefits of such an application of cinnamon confirmed experiments in mice.

For 12 weeks rodents were fed fatty foods and at the same time gave them cinnamon.

During the final check of the organism in animals it was found that after several weeks of eating cinnamon in mice, the level of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory molecules that protect against stress associated with eating harmful food.

It also turned out that in animals that ate cinnamon, weight decreased and the amount of fat on the stomach decreased. These rodents became more intensive processes of digestion and metabolism.
