British experts interviewed surgeons and received an unexpected result: 90% of them listen to music during the operation, writes The Independent. Moreover, half of the surveyed surgeons preferred rapid music in the style of rock.

17% of the respondents said they prefer to operate under pop music, and 11% chose classical music as accompaniment. The overwhelming majority of surgeons who took part in the poll admitted:

music allows creating a harmonious and calm atmosphere, and only one third of respondents do not get bored during the operation.

It is noteworthy: most often patients of plastic clinics encounter with music lovers (all the plastic surgeons interviewed operated with music). But less often everyone listened to music during surgery, surgeons working with noses, throat and ears. And only 15% of doctors admitted that they sing along with their favorite compositions while working.
