Many scientists from around the world are trying to explain the healing properties of red wines. However, Danish scientists, after analyzing the next study, came to an unusual conclusion. Red wine generally does not affect health in any way and does not prevent cardiovascular diseases. In the dependence observed by scientists, the main role is played by people.
According to Danish experts, people who regularly drink red expensive wines are usually socially and economically well-off. They represent elite sections of society, have an excellent education, try to lead a correct lifestyle, enjoy high-quality medical care, in general, can afford many things that make their lives quality. This is confirmed by the fact that numerous studies have shown that health is 70 percent envy of lifestyle.
Such conclusions were made by specialists on the basis of a study in which 363 men and 330 women aged from 29 to 34 participated. In the group of people who drink wine, the coefficient of intelligence, the level of prosperity were higher in comparison with groups of non-drinkers and consuming beer and other spirits. For the study, people who were born in the Central Copenhagen hospital were selected specially, this made it possible to trace their health from birth.
The so-called "French paradox" was first described at the end of the last century, when studies of the health of the inhabitants of France brought an unexpected result - despite the food rich in cholesterol, among them there was a very low percentage of cardiovascular diseases. The paradox was explained by regular moderate consumption of red wine.
However, many experts, especially widely this opinion is widespread among representatives of the American Heart Association, do not consider wine consumption as a proven method of preventing heart disease. The main role they assign to proper nutrition, physical training and maintaining optimal weight.
Researchers noted that, of course, red wine has a beneficial effect on the heart - it reduces the risk of blood clots and raises the content of "good" cholesterol in the blood. However, his role in maintaining heart health is greatly exaggerated.
As we reported earlier, according to a recent study, British scientists came to the conclusion that champagne has a beneficial effect on the work of the cardiovascular system.
