Taking an aspirin tablet can reduce the headache with migraines for two hours in more than 50% of people, say the researchers.

Scientists have analyzed the data of thirteen studies. It turned out that even a single dose of aspirin can reduce nausea, vomiting and other signs of migraine. However, experts warn that taking aspirin can cause side effects, so some people need to choose another remedy for migraine headaches.

Migraine is a neurological disease, the most frequent and characteristic symptom of which are episodic or regular severe and painful attacks of headache in one (rarely both) half of the head.

In this case, there are no serious head injuries, stroke, brain tumors, and the intensity and pulsating nature of the pains are associated with a vascular headache, and not with a headache from stress. Headache with migraine is not associated with an increase or a sharp decrease in blood pressure, a bout of glaucoma or an increase in intracranial pressure (ICP).

Migraine significantly reduces the quality of life, so specialists continue to seek the most effective and safe methods of fighting this disease, the Air Force reports..
