The final data showed that the risk of death in the group of subjects consuming olive oil was the lowest among all participants in the study. Those who received 29 g or more per day - a little more than a tablespoon - had a 44% less chance of dying from cardiovascular disease than the average Spaniards.



A new study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition also confirmed the fact that olive oil practically does not reduce the risk of developing cancer, nor does it affect mortality statistics for them.
