In February of this year, Elon Musk said that the specialists of the startup Neuralink have successfully implanted a chip into the monkey's brain that allows the power of thought to play video games.. Now the entrepreneur's words have been confirmed: a video in which the primate plays virtual ping-pong without touching the joystick. The video was published on the Neuralink YouTube channel.

The video shows a male macaque, nine-year-old Pager, who had neural chips implanted in his brain about six weeks before the shooting.. These devices, the voiceover noted, can be connected with an iPhone - it's as easy as connecting a bluetooth speaker.

The first shots show the process of Pager learning: he walks up to the monitor, grabs a metal tube (through which a banana smoothie is fed for motivation) and starts playing a simple game using the joystick.

In this game, the primate must move the cursor after the orange square.

Further, at a minute and 30 seconds of the video, the scientists disconnected the joystick from the computer, but the monkey continued to control the game.. Although the pager touched the manipulator out of habit, he was now moving the cursor with "

In the second minute of the video, the scientists removed the joystick altogether, but the monkey could still control the computer..
