The probe NASA Parker Solar Probe (Solar probe Parker) sent to Earth the first picture taken during the trip. This is reported on the NASA website.
The picture was taken on September 9, when the probe turned on the Wide-field Imager for Solar Probe (WISPR).
With the help of WISPR, the probe will have to obtain images of the solar corona and internal heliosphere. The instrument consists of two chambers. On the left image you can see a 58-degree field of view of one of them, right - a 40-degree field of view of the other.
According to researchers, the left image shows the Milky Way. Bright object to the right of the center - Jupiter. The brightest star in the image is Antares from the constellation Scorpio.
