US President Donald Trump said that Google, Twitter and Facebook "are entering a very, very problematic territory," and warned that they "behave carefully".

This statement was made a few hours after a series of controversial tweets in which Trump wrote that the Google search engine was "tuned" in such a way as to produce news compiled in a negative for the presidential administration key.

The US president said that people complain about the bias of search results in social networks, reports Voice of America.

"We get literally thousands and thousands of complaints," the president said.. "You just can not do this".

Answering a question from a journalist in the Oval Office, Trump criticized Google, Facebook and Twitter, saying: "You can not do this to people".

"Google really uses a lot of people to their advantage," the president said.. "They need to be careful".

In response to previous criticism of Trump, Google said that its search engine is not used to promote any political agenda.

The company's statement says: "We never rank search results for manipulating political sentiments".

In a series of early tweets, Trump said that Google "suppresses" conservative views and "hides information" that would point to the dignity of the president.

"This is a very serious situation, and it will be resolved! "He noted..

Trump wrote that the search for "news about Trump" "gives only the opinions / publications of the media of fake news".

"In other words, they adjust these results to me and others, so that virtually all publications and news are bad," he added..

In addition, the American president said, 96 percent of these results come from "national leftist media". Trump did not provide the source of this statistics.

New York Times journalist Adam Satariano wrote that Trump's claims may have been based on comments from Fox Business Network's leading channel, Lou Dobbs, with whom he spoke Monday evening.

Dobbs commented on the publication on the conservative site of PJ Media, which claimed to have conducted a "non-scientific study" showing that 96 percent of Google's search results for "Trump" were "leftist sites".

One of the factors that are considered when ranking sites in search results is the number of other web pages that link to them, explained Zack Graves, Director of Technology and Innovation Policy at the Washington Analytical Center of the R Street Institute. This indicator allows you to assess how actively one or another site is being used, and how many people trust his information.

"Given this," says Graves, "it's no surprise that the major popular media [such as CNN, New York Times and Fox News] are higher in search results than the more conservative niche platforms such as Hot Air, Blaze and so on ".

According to Alexa. com, which deals with media analytics, the New York Times refers to about 304,000 other sites, CNN about 210,000, Fox News about 76,000. On the conservative edition of the Wall Street Journal refer to the order of 128 thousand sites, and on PJ Media - 3807.
