US Air Force Gen. David Goldfein is convinced that it is necessary to prepare for cosmic wars, and the air force must invest considerable resources in new technologies and training commanders of space troops.

General Goldfein, Chief of Staff of the Air Force, spoke at a symposium in front of an audience of servicemen, saying that it was time for them to start thinking about outer space in the same terms in which they talked about airspace. According to him, "the time has come for us as servicemen, regardless of specialties, to strive for excellence in space with the same zeal that we are experiencing today in relation to superiority in the air".

The general warned that the war in outer space is only a matter of time. And stressed that the US Air Force must prepare for the transfer of the battlefield into the airless space. "I am convinced that we will begin to fight from outer space in the coming years," he said.. - And we must lead the joint efforts in this disputed region. This is required of us by the country ".

The US Air Force must prepare for changing conditions and understand how to combine air, space and cyber warfare in order to have a complete picture of what is happening in the conflict. To this end, the armed forces must invest in new technologies, as well as in training commanders. Develop a program for US space mission officers entrusted to Lieutenant-General Steven Kvast.

The orientation of the US Air Force to space is also reflected in the budget for the 2019 fiscal year, in which $ 8.5 billion is allocated to space programs, Haytec reports with reference to Space News.
