US aerospace experts who monitor the glaciers of the planet showed a photograph of a huge iceberg that broke off last September from the Pine Island glacier in Iceland. The NASA photoblog stresses that the photo was taken on December 15, 2017 with Landsat 8, an American Earth remote sensing satellite.

Iceberg B-44 after several weeks after the beginning of the drift collapsed into 20 fragments.

As experts note, the photo on the left shows a section of warm water around the iceberg - wormwood. It is she, the researchers believe, that caused the rapid destruction of the iceberg.
