NASA experts believe that the eruption of the super-volcano will lead to more terrible consequences than the fall of the asteroid. This is reported by the correspondent with reference to the Independent.

Experts believe that to date there are about twenty super-volcanoes on Earth that can wake up at any moment.

At the same time, they note that the eruption of such a volcano will lead to a "volcanic winter", resulting in the death of millions of people.

The most dangerous among all the super-volcanoes scientists call the Yellowstone volcano, which is in the US state of Wyoming. The caldera of the Yellowstone volcano measures 55 kilometers by 72 kilometers.

Now NASA specialists are developing a plan to prevent the eruption of this volcano. In particular, the option is considered with increasing water volume for "cooling" the volcano.
