Beijing police detained the creators of the tunnel bus TEB (Transit Elevated Bus). The founder of the company-developer Huaying Kailai Bai Zhiming and another 31 people are suspected of illegally raising funds for the creation of a bus.

The only prototype of the bus, shown in the summer of 2016, was transported to storage, and the 300-meter section of the guide rails dismantled. As Meduza writes with reference to Quartz, 72 investors have already filed lawsuits against Bai Zhiming.

According to the police, he managed to collect about 1.3 billion dollars for the project.

The project of the bus-tunnel was presented in the spring of 2016, in summer the first prototype. It was assumed that the car will accommodate 1200 people, and cars will be able to pass under it - that is, a bus on the road will not obstruct traffic.
