Marquis Nadal: King of Spain honored the tennis player with a noble title

According to El Pais, the former world tennis champion Rafael Nadal was awarded the noble rank by the king of Spain Philip VI. Now the illustrious athlete wears the title of Marquis.

This title is hereditary, which allows the descendants of Nadal to use it too. In addition to Nadal, the King of Spain appropriated the title of Marquis to the singer Lus Casal and the Paralympic swimmer Teresa Perales.
