Anastasia Merkushina and Artem Tishchenko finished on the podium at the competition in Brezno-Osrblie. The Ukrainians were the best in shooting, which allowed them to win bronze medals.

At the first two firing lines, Merkushina used one additional cartridge each. Later she was accurate. In turn, Tishchenko made no mistakes at all.

However, the winner was the duo from Norway (7 additional rounds), and the Czechs finished second (3). Ukrainians lost more than a minute to Norwegian biathletes. The award for Merkushina and Tishchenko became the second for Ukraine at this stage of the IBU Cup. Earlier, Merkushina became third in the short individual race.

By the way, earlier the Ukrainian team finished top 10 in the women's relay at the World Cup in Ruhpolding.
