On Saturday, January 18, in Ruhpolding, Germany, at the fifth stage of the Biathlon World Cup, the women's classic relay took place.
Ukraine was represented in this race by Elena Gorodna, Yulia Jima, Irina Petrenko and Kristina Dmitrenko.
Gorodna shot flawlessly on the first shooting range and entered the range sixth, but on the second she used three additional rounds and passed the baton only to 13th.
Jima closed the prone targets with six rounds, after which she worked on the stand without errors and replaced the 14th.
Petrenko shot five out of five at the first stage, and at the second she used one additional cartridge.
Dmitrenko started her segment of the race 13th and during the first shooting she worked five out of six.
At the second stage, the Ukrainian shot cleanly and entered the distance in tenth place, where she eventually finished.
The German team won the women's relay in Ruhpolding. Norway took second place, and France rounded out the top three..
