The first Grand Prix of the season showed that the pace of Red Bull still behind Ferrari and Mercedes, but the gap is not as significant as before. And that means more powerful propulsion system would be able to bring back the cars of Red Bull a leading position in the championship.

When the head of Ferrari Sergio Marchionne asked about the failure of the deal with Dietrich Mateschitz team he replied curtly: "This could be a huge mistake".

Earlier, in a similar vein, he expressed and Head of Mercedes Toto Wolff, to which Red Bull also addressed a proposal to supply engines.
