Inter continues to work on the transfer of Liverpool's retired Curtis Jones and, having made a new attempt, comes closer to signing the Englishman.

According to The Athletic, after the recent proposal of 32 million euros, representatives of the Italian club through intermediaries informed Liverpool of their readiness to increase the amount to 35 million.

However, the Merseyside camp has not changed its position.

The club values \u200b\u200bthe 24-year football player at least 40 million euros and does not intend to settle for less than that amount.

Jones' contract has been extended for one more season. At the same time, Liverpool’s management is ready to refuse to let go of the midfielder before the end of the 2027 year, as it does not reject the proposition that is consistent with their assessment.

However, the parties are not actively negotiating a new contract, although Liverpool do not exclude the possibility of reaching a compromise with the player..
