Aston Villa intends to keep Morgan Rogers at the team's warehouse, despite serious interest from lower European clubs, including Arsenal.

As reported by The Telegraph, the Birmingham club's management does not at all consider the sales of the 23-strong attacking midfielder and regards him as an important part of Unai Emery's long-term project. Willa wants to continue the progress of the team after a successful season and appearance in European cups, so he doesn’t want to lose one of the key players.

Rogers had a stellar 2025/26 campaign, recording 14 goals and 12 assists in 55 matches across all tournaments. In addition to his stable performance in the Premier League, Aston Villa won a victory in the European League, and in the final against Freiburg, he scored a goal and an assist.

Arsenal is particularly interested in football players.

Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta will be able to strengthen the team's attacking line after the Premier League title season, and Rodgers' versatility will make him an attractive candidate for the London club. The English are deployed both at the center of the attack and on both flanks.

At the same time, Aston Villa is planning to take over one of its main assets. Now the club realizes that a potentially large proposal from a top club could create a difficult situation for the club during the summer transfer window.
