National team Ukraine winger Andriy Yarmolenko shared his feelings after defeating Poland (2:0) in Andrea Malderi's debut match for the national team.
" It’s easy to turn around before turning and find yourself naked after turning. I want to tell the head coach - telling him right after the game. Without him, I wouldn’t have survived these emotions,” said Yarmolenko.
Recently, the 36-year-old football player said that individual achievements are not a priority for him.
" I know about the record, but I won’t get hung up on it.
Golovnya — bring the harvest and help young football players develop,” he said.
Yarmolenko also spoke about the work of the team under the leadership of the new coach.
" We were explained in detail what to do in various situations. There was not one specific task - I rejected contentment from gris"
In his words, the team is just beginning to adapt to new ideas from the coaching staff.
" We still need an hour to fully adapt, but today in several episodes we looked even worse"
