Manchester United have informed their goalkeeper Andre Onana that they do not plan to rely on him next season.
According to ESPN, the 30-year-old goalkeeper has expressed a desire to fight for a place in the starting lineup after a loan spell at Trabzonspor, but the Red Devils are not interested in his services.
In turn, Manchester United are considering the possibility of acquiring a new goalkeeper, as they believe that their reserve goalkeeper Altay Bayindir may leave the club due to interest from Besiktas.
Recall that Onana signed a contract with United in the summer of 2023, moving to the English club from Inter; his current agreement runs until the summer of 2028.
Earlier it was reported that Manchester United would not offer a new contract to the team leader.
