Juventus publicly supported their defender Lloyd Kelly after racist messages that were rejected from social media.
The incident occurred after the first match of the Champions League playoffs against Galatasaray, in which the Turkish team lost 2:5.
At the address of the English defencist, messages of a racist nature were found, which prompted the club to promptly respond and publicize the official position in social media.
“Racial hatred has no place in football - not on the field, not in the stands, not on the Internet. The club is committed to giving space to racism in any form and is actively working towards the creation of a safer and more inclusive environment in order to create a better sport for patients and doctors.
I'll see you again. Lloyd Kelly,” according to a statement released by Juventus on Instagram.
