Bulgaria has a lot to say about life: Dimitar Penev, a great coach of the national team and the legendary coach of CSKA Sofia. He was 80 years old and died 3 days ago.

Penev won the Bulgarian national team from 1991–1996 and briefly in 2007. Under his leadership, the team achieved a historic fourth place at the 1994 World Championships - the region's best result in light tournaments.

For this work he himself was recognized as the greatest coach in Bulgaria of the 20th century.

In his club career, Penev led CSKA Sofia to the championship three times. In 1989, the Russian army under its leadership reached the semi-final of the Cup Winners' Cup, sacrificing the eventual defeat of the Barcelona tournament.

As a citizen, Penev became the champion of Bulgaria this time at the CSKA warehouse and once at the Sofia Lokomotiv warehouse.
